In 1688 William of Orange landed in West Country of England and supported by loyal partisans in Parliament and at
Court, sent James II scurrying into exile. From that act we enjoy, or have enjoyed until recently a fine liberal
democracy that has made us the envy and inspiration to the world, our freedoms guaranteed by the Act of Settlement
1689/1701, Magna Carta and other statutes. It is also why our enemies, internal and external hate and fear us as they
do!
I am probably one of the very, very 'Few' of my generation, that was fortunate enough to grow up under the last, still flickering embers of what was once the British Empire. I saw what it was all about and that alone, taught me that the British Empire and its successor the Commonwealth was a good thing, not the poisonous regime that those of the Left love to portray and that has allowed them to undermine this ancient land in the way they have over the last 100 years or so!
Today, with the signature of the Reform Treaty by Messrs Brown and Company, they are on the brink of achieving their great goal of a dismantled, occupied Disunited Kingdom in thrall to a Continental and utterly foreign legal system that Britain has fought against throughout her history to prevent. In the last 250 years alone, over 1,500,000 Britons have died in that cause, the most recent being WWII that ended in 1945 and even today in Iraq and Afghanistan.
British civilisation brought Christianity, law and freedom to the globe. Her Royal Navy was seen as the arbiter of freedom to many individuals enslaved by less magnanimous Europeans like the French, Belgians, Dutch and especially the Germans, whose cruel behaviour towards the Africans was a bye-word in its day for abject violence, since the attitude of later National Socialism was reflected in the racial arrogance of the earlier Prussian military hierarchy at the end of the 19th century. Germany’s attitude in both world wars, also reflected their attitude towards the conquered peoples of Holland, Belgium, France and anywhere else these armies have been. German rule was brutal.
