symbolising the slow takeover of the Russian Bear ? Over here or on wikipedia if you like you can read all about the EU Superstate's establishment of the EURATOM treaty in the mid fifties, a treaty which together with the more infamous Treaty Of Rome, set the wheels grinding towards ever closer political union.

The EURATOM treaty was negotiated separately to the Treaty Of Rome but it was quickly realised the two were intertwined as were the fates of the signatory countries. Fated to become one European Superstate under One Unelected President.

And as you know, we recently took on board rather a lot of the former Warsaw Pact Iron Curtain countries, countries to which my wish to travel on honeymoon would have been viewed with the utmost suspicion by my employer.
But not only am I now welcomed in those countries with open arms, but it seems I might be able to drive to the Great Wall Of China without showing a policemen a driving licence or passport.

For when a fellow patriot on another forum asked a question about Russian Oil and the EU it prompted me to google for some details of how much of the stuff Russia sells to us. But what I found when I got there was a bit alarming.

On December 22nd 2009 the Council of the European Union adopted a mandate Authorising the Commission to negotiate a partnership agreement for the peaceful uses of nuclear energy between the European Atomic Energy Community (Euratom) and the Russian Federation.

Now, call me paranoid if you like, but I have three questions.

1) Did anyone shout this from the rooftops ? I wasn't aware this was going on. Were YOU ?

2) Given that the signatories to the 1957 EURATOM treaty signed up to ever closer political union, how soon do you reckon it will be before the Treaty Of Murmansk "unites the great eurasian land mass and its odd offshore islands? You know, like OURS ?

3) How long after that will it be before Vladimir Putin gets to take over the job of President of the New Eurasian Land Mass and become the European President. It would be a delicious irony, would it not, to have "Vladimir, Tsar of all the Western Hemisphere" crowned on July 17th 2018. But would you stake a tenner on it NOT taking place ?
